New Orleans to Arlington

With the assistance of an alcoholic beverage (or two in Pete’s case) we slept all the way through and have hopefully now aligned our bodies with USA time.

We got up early and hit the road, as we had a long drive ahead of us. From New Orleans to Dallas (or thereabouts) so that we were back for the event that has been the cornerstone for our trip – WrestleMania. This is about 525 miles, or 845 kilometres. Big day, but it was very easy driving. We headed past The Mercedes Benz Superdone in New Orleans before we left town, as this was the site of 2014 WrestleMania.
During our mega-long drive, as we were both well rested, this made for a good flow of conversation and witty repartee. Unfortunately we were not recording a podcast at this time, so we are not able to share. Trust me though, it was champagne comedy and we are hilarious!
When we got into town, we headed to AT&T Stadium as Pete wanted to see it before the big day. We walked around and got some pics. Pete was very excited to see the stadium in all its glory. After this, we headed to the WWE WrestleMania Super Store. This did not disappoint. We got some souvenirs for the kiddies and Pete scored himself a nice lil momento – a replica WWE championship belt. He thinks he is the bees knees. I am not sure if he will keep tit locked away at home, or wear it all the time, like to work and all.
On our way back to the motel, we had to stop at AT&T Stadium again…you know…like to see it at night time and stuff…
