Las Vegas to Los Angeles

Time to bid farewell to Sin City, which was probably a good thing. Given how increasingly busy we saw the city get from Wednesday to Friday night, I can only imagine how Vegas goes off on a Saturday night!
During our trip from Vegas to Los Angeles, we drive a few sections of Route 66 and took in Peggy Sue’s Diner (with Diner-saurs) and the Bottle Tree Ranch.

While nostalgic, it is easy to see why Route 66 is no longer readily used, the undulating, single lane road is a far cry from the multi-lane freeway where you zoom along at more than 75 miles per hour. But it was a big bucket list item and well worth the detour!
When we arrived in Los Angeles, we hit downtown, and the Staples Centre. There happened to be an ice hockey game on, but we were running low on funds at this point and so did not shell out the few hundred dollars required to secure tickets.
