Today we hit Hoover Dam.
I was particularly nervous being here, after seeing the dam crumble in the movie San Andreas. But apparently, at the base of the dam, it is as deep as the dam is tall. Another fun fact is there is enough concrete in the dam to run a 2 lane road from Seattle to Florida. Woah!
After this we hit the premium outlet shops for some retail therapy and let’s just say we stimulated the local Las Vegas economy.
Next, I finally got to have my gondola ride in the Venetian! When we were in Vegas a few years back, the entire waterway (inside and out) at the Venetian was under renovation. I was so grateful to see water in the canals this time!! I know it is not as good as the real thing, but for many years, it will be the closest thing to get to real gondolas in Venice.
