A positive of getting out of Washington DC so early yesterday, was that we avoided a 10 hour driving day from Washington DC to Nashville. We ended up only 250 miles out of Nashville which made our Saturday
drive a nice and short one.
The first place we hit upon arriving in Nashville was Cooter’s Place. Here, we got to see the General Lee. Not only that, Pete got tosit in it. Multiple pics have been taken, with and without sunglasses…
From here we hit the shops and wowsers did we save some dollars! This was a factory outlet place so stock is often last season or end of stock, meaning sizes can sometimes be tricky to get, but we were able to get
things like Under Armor joggers for less than US$30 and Under Armor tights for US$14!
While in Nashville, we also heading into town and ate at Jack’s Bar-B-Que. There was a long line up, but from memory, this is where my brother had said was a good feed. Here, we had the most amazing smoked brisket. It had such a rich, smokey flavour and their BBQ sauces were beyond words.
Following dinner, we walked around the main street of Nashville. It was similar to New Orleans – with the night time party vibe – but not as grubby. Perhaps it was all of the cowboy boots, but it felt a lot safer than pretty much anywhere else we had gone out in at night.
Ooo… talking about boots, I visited a place called Boot Country. They do a special where if you buy one pair of boots, you get two pairs for free! So you are looking at the owner of three pairs of cowboy boots!
J To further tie this back to WWE Wrestling, they had a boot in the shop that was made for Andre the
Giant!
Nashville – tick!
